Gracie Bakes

I baked this really yummy roulade for when my Gramps and Nana came over. It was difficult to roll and
It cracked on top but it was worth it

Last Saturday I made a Victoria Sponge to bring to my grandparents on Sunday. It tasted delicious and I’m sure everybody liked it :p

Here is my delicious apple cake. I think it is great for a first try and it is not to hard to make.

To make bagels I made a fruit dough, then made rings that are boiled before baking.

When I went to my friend Maria’s house, we made a pineapple upside down cake!

It is called that because you have to bake it upside down and flip it over at the end…

and it was so yummy I ate 3 pieces in 1 day!!!

They were the rest of the filling of the eccles cakes…

and they were absolutely gorgeous!!

Today I made some Eccles cakes. They were quite hard to make but were very yummy in the end.

To make I mixed currents and lemon rind with sugar and prepared them in puff pastry.

 

The Eccles cakes were topped with a sprinkle of sugar that made them caramelize in the oven.

This is one of the macaroons I made,

it was Delicious!!

I got the recipe from the BBC. The mixture was quite runny and they didn’t rise at all in the oven!!

Ingredients

ground almonds,

egg whites,

caster sugar,

water,

food colouring (if you want),

icing sugar,

whipped cream.

Tools

mixing bowl,

sauce pan,

wooden spoon,

oven tray,

rice paper,

electric mixer.

I will post the instructions next time.
